TERRY'S TOP TIPS FOR A GOOD PHOTOTERRY BANE VIEWS AMBEROL LITTER BIN TAMWORTH 23rd MAY 2016

At this moment in time my preferred camera I use is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-G5 I also use a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7 compact pocket camera for opportunities.

1. In your Community you might wish to visit your chosen subject a few times to get the best day light for your photo, other opportunities on holiday or visits go with the time you have.

2. If you can control your cameral always use the lowest ISO of 80 or 100.

3. If you can control your camera always use a high F stop of 16 - 22 to get depth of field.

4. Choose you subject and look for attractive and Iconic buildings and features to add interest and identity to your subject and composed photo.

5. If your subject is in a busy area look for natural action to capture as well as the subject, pedestrians, cars, buses, service vehicles - you may have to decrease your F stop and increase your aperture to capture and freeze any movement.

6. Take more then one photo and up to 10 - 12 so you can select the best when your take a look at on your computer.

TERRY and MIRELLE BANE TRAVELS

During our travels we are always keen and interested to see all types of annual, perennial and sustainable horticultural displays, baskets, planters and containers and Trees.

Both Mirelle and I as gardeners study plants used, types, colours, foliage  and aim to gauge their maintenance and most important performance for future use at work and in our garden.

Even though I have been a professional horticulturalist for over 42 years I am still keen to continue to learn more, horticulture is ever changing with so many new varieties of plants and new products coming on to the market each year - its still very exciting to me.

Where ever possible I like to grow plants to trial myself for at least one season or trial through my horticultural friends so we can access, discuss and share our observations and advice to others.

I do  hope the photographs I have shown inspire you to learn more and be creative in your own community and work with others to provide and enjoy your own colourful and interesting displays for everyone to enjoy as well as help provide habitat and support for your local native wildlife
